About Me
I am a registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Spain with Frog Lotus Yoga International. I also teach yoga to children and teenagers and trained with Calm for Kids.
I began my yoga journey several years ago, to help maintain greater balance in my life. I had moved to London and was working long hours and attending high intensity exercise classes to keep fit. I thought the exercises classes would help me unwind but in fact they did the opposite. I begun to find it hard to sleep and then realised that I wasn’t giving myself time to switch off. I started to feel quite disconnected from my mind and body but hadn’t realised how bad this had become until I could not control my breathing. The breath, the lifelong friend who had been with me since birth, was disagreeing with my lifestyle and began to give me some major warning signs.
It was my Mum who suggested yoga. Initially I wasn’t sure how it would help but after attending a few classes and reading about it, I started to notice and discover the benefits. My sleep greatly improved, my outlook towards my lifestyle changed and I was able to connect with my breath again. It was through yoga that I discovered a powerful transformation in my mind, body and breath. I will always be thankful for my Mum’s advice because it has created the opportunity for me to share the magic of yoga with others.
It brings me great joy to assist adults, teenagers and children towards their own path of self-discovery by providing them with the tools to reconnect to their body and breath. For me, yoga isn't about touching your toes and trying to look perfect. Instead it is about how it makes you feel on the inside and listening to your body. There is no 'one size fits all' in yoga and that is what I love about it. All you need is a yoga mat and an open mind and your yoga journey can begin!
“Yoga allows you to rediscover a sense of wholeness in your life, where you do not feel like you are constantly trying to fit broken pieces together.”
- B.K.S. Iyengar
I now use yoga, cycling, zumba, tennis, meditation, mindfulness, gratitude and positive thinking to maintain balance in my life. I love spending time with my family and friends, who encourage me to follow my dreams. I also love spending time outdoors, allowing myself to reconnect with our beautiful planet.
